According to the latest statistic of China Customs, China exported 96,573 mt ferroalloys in February 2013, up by 56.4% Y-O-Y. The export value was USD178,610,882, up from USD139,558,818. China exported 210,663 mt ferroalloys in January-February 2013, up by 57.6% Y-O-Y. In terms of export value, the total number was USD390,154,630, up by 33.2% Y-O-Y. So it is easy to see that the average price of exported ferroalloys dropped a little compared to the same period of 2012.
In terms of the exporting countries, China exported 110,582 mt ferroalloys to Japan in January-February 2013, which accounted for 52.5% of the total export volumes. At the same time, it exported 29,223 mt to Korea (13.9%), 7,073 mt to Thailand, 5,808 mt to Taiwan Province, 5,404 mt to India, 5,031 mt to Russia, 4,989mt to Hong Kong and 4,322 mt to America.
Meanwhile, China imported 159,950 mt ferroalloys in Feb., 2013, dropping by 2.7%Y-O-Y. The total import value was USD389,353,394, down by 35.5%. China imported 421,243 mt (up by 24.5%) ferroalloys with import value at USD937,558,075 (down by 10.9%) through Feb. 2013.
In terms of the importing countries, in January-February 2013, China bought 1,191,117 mt ferroalloys from South Africa, 104,070 mt from Kazakhstan, 62,340 mt from India, 9,795 mt from Columbia, 6,704mt from Brazil, 6,511 mt from USA and 6,307 mt from The former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
In January-February 2013, the accumulated net import of ferroalloys was 210,580 mt.
