[Ferro-alloys.com]Steel mills were about to purchase ferrosilicon for August deliveries through opening bidding in late July. However, ferrosilicon producers in Ningxia province said suspended production of ferrosilicon prevailed and most producers held few stocks, which caused a short supply on the market and led to price rising.
At present the overall rate of operation was below 40% in Ningxia, one Shizuishan large ferrosilicon producer said they were running one furnace, while other local producers had basically stopped production temporarily. One Zhouwei (the place where most ferrosilicon producers concentrated) producer said they ran only one furnace and most producers had reduced production.
The present mainstream FeSi75# was RMB5900-5950/mt(USD961-969/mt, export duty excluded) and FeSi72# was RMB5700-5750/mt（USD929-937/mt, export duty excluded）, ex-work tax-inclusive price by acceptance, keeping pace with ferrosilicon price in other producing areas
